    Little information is available regarding Peter Henry de Maillet. At the Birth of Mary Anne Harriet, the residence was given as Old Chaple Street, Stroud. Stroud was also the location for the 1841 Census with the Birth location as being 'abroad' and occupation given as ''Professor of French Language''. In 1841 abroad could include the Channel Islands. The name ''de Maillet'' is one of the top 20 names on the islands. On Harriets Wedding Certificate, occupation is given as ''Music Master''.

    Update. Record for Pierre Henri Maillet found as a seaman up to 18 years old aboard the french Warship Scipion captured at Trafalgar 1805. He was a prinsoner of war. No other information available. Questionable whether this is the same individual.

    Doron married Mary Ann LISSIMAN. Mary was born 1814, Ledbury, HEF; was christened 30 May 1814, Ledbury, HEF; died 4 Sep 1868, Great Malvern, WOR. [Group Sheet]

    ''Harriet de Maillet'' recorded in the 1851 Census at Colwell Green Cottages. Described as the niece of the head of the house, a William Willis/Millis/Miller (writing illegible). Age was shown as a stroke that could be a 9, 7 or 1, and she was described as a scholor.

    The Birth certificate shows her as Mary Ann Harriett, daughter of Peter Henry de Maillet, a professor of the French Language and Mary Ann Lefsiman [sic] who registered the birth signing with an X.

    Further information found relating to the above can be found on the Parish Transcriptions for Colwall, Herefordshire, England.

    The Parish Christening Transciptions show on 2 June 1844 Mary Harriett daughter of Peter Henry and Mary Anne mailcot with ''none'' entered for Fathers occupation. The Transcriptions for her Wedding shows Harriet aged 19 Married James Handy aged 24 on 9 July 1861 being the daughter of Peter de Maillet - Music Master. Both couples where unmarried before.
